Dow Bridge Brewery Cup Format- Revised August 2023

A, There will be 2 points for a win, No draws - therefore a deciding frame is required. Should the match be drawn, the team captain will decide which player plays that frame.
B, All teams in the NNPL are included in an Initial Group Stage –usually 4 groups of 4. Teams split into 2 groups from the North of the county and 2 groups from the South.

C, Teams will earn a Bonus point for a 7-3, 8-2, 9-1 or 10-0 win

D, The top 2 teams from each group go through to Quarter finals decided by points. If drawn on points, then by legs difference.  If a third team is equal on points and leg difference, then a three frame play off is required to decide who goes into the Quarter-Finals.

E, The Quarter-Finals round is based on the following:

QF1 North - 1st place Group 1 plays 2nd place Group 2
 QF2 North - 1st place Group 2 plays 2nd place Group 1
QF3 South - 1st place Group 3 plays 2nd place Group 4
 QF4 South - 1st place Group 4 plays 2nd place Group 3

F,  The winners of the four groups get to play their quarter final fixture at home and cannot meet the team that came second in their group until the final.

G, The semi- finals will be the winner of QF1 North v the winner of QF3 South and winner of QF2 North v winner of QF4 South. Teams will be drawn to decide who has a home match for both the Semi's and the Final.
H, The Cup final is to be played over 2 games –home and away.
I, Player must have played a minimum of 10 games in the league or Cup to be eligible to play in the Quarter-Final, semi-final and the Final matches.
